hardly the place to be giving advice on how to use your telephone but
you have to 'pull down the status tray, and then tap your USB icon and
then choose Mount' - your problem isn't Linux...your problem is that you
don't know how to use your phone.

I use Dolphin (KDE) but you can use whatever you want after you 'mount'
the drive which isn't possible until you instruct your telephone to
allow it to happen.
