Stan, I don't think the problem is thrashing. top in the F2 console: top - 15:00:22 up 1 day, 17:39, 0 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00 Tasks: 77 total, 1 running, 74 sleeping, 0 stopped, 2 zombie CPU(s): 0.3%us, 0.3%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.7%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 510192k total, 493620k used, 16572k free, 133120k buffers Swap: 1049528k total, 492100k used, 557428k free, 77424k cached Every 20-30 seconds 'hald-addon-stor' pops up in the list of COMMAND tasks. Less frequently I'll see 'hald' and 'anaconda' appear for one top cycle. <engineer-geek> It would be neat to know how to zoom in and watch anaconda at work. I may have a rare opportunity here to, with expert guidance, gain some insights into how anaconda actually works at the molecular level. If it's possible to alter/repair its operation while running, that ability could be of real value to remote installers. </engineer-geek> --Doc -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines
