It didn't work.

$ lsmod | grep vid

Now what do I do ?

I was running akmod, which presumably builds an nvidia kernel module.
Do those modules get loaded automatically ?  If so, how does one remove
an akmod build kernel module ?  Ie how does one do a 'make uninstall'
for an akmod module ?
