I feel the default is offering me enough protection from web junk as it is configured by default, but clearly there is a small glitch somewhere that prevents the proper function of loading a page to get to a log-in screen. I have never altered the privoxy config file, but I will look at yours to see whether there is something I might wish to change in the default set-up.
