You might want to look at my entry for the xorg.conf for my Acer Aspire
One which only has 1024x600 display. I created a 'virtual' screen that
is much larger and thus the windows are drawn larger and the display is
a small window into a larger virtual display.

I am sure you can do something very similar with an Asus EE system and
there are probably some ideas about doing that floating around
somewhere.
