looking in google kdm X server startup timeout, terminating
the first link indicates a problem with a timeout in kdm/X with a Nvidia
driver

at the end of http://chakra-project.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?pid=587
indicate increase ServerTimeout, but checking mine is already 30 as the
solution posted

so maybe is a different or new bug or kernel regression in your case,

btw what graphics chipset has your machine?
