alsa update breaks RealPlayer 11

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I use the closed RealPlayer to listen to online radio, such as the BBC. Recently playback became very choppy... I tracked the problem down to a recent Alsa update.

Solution for a F11 x86_64 machine:

$ rpm --erase --nodeps alsa-lib-1.0.21-1.fc11.i586 alsa-lib-1.0.21-1.fc11.x86_64 alsa-lib-devel-1.0.21-1.fc11.x86_64

$ yum install -y --disablerepo=updates alsa-lib alsa-lib.i586 alsa-lib-devel

Anyone else encountering this problem?
