When I filed a bug http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=592612 the response from the epiphany developers was "Thanks for taking the time to file this bug report. Can you reproduce this problem with Epiphany 2.27.x with the WebKit backend? Because the Gecko backend has been discontinued, there will be no more bugfixes for versions 2.26 and earlier."
