Fedora 11 update problem

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I use Fedora 11 latest updates and kernel & headers updated today.

The last 2 Fedora 11 kernel updates circa (2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.i586) will not start Blender 2.49a on my machine.
The Blender screen flashes on for about half a second.
Starting from a terminal shows:
 ./blender
Compiled with Python version 2.6.
Checking for installed Python... got it!
X Error of failed request: GLXUnsupportedPrivateRequest
Major opcode of failed request: 152 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 16 (X_GLXVendorPrivate)
Serial number of failed request: 244
Current serial number in output stream: 247
Segmentation fault

Have reverted back to kernel (2.6.29.6-217.2.3.fc11.i586)
yum search for nvidia doesn't show updates for 2.6.29.6-217.2.7

Is there a workaround please
Thanks
Macca
