If one client takes mere seconds to do whatever it has to do, when you go into a folder with thousands of messages, other clients ought to be on a par with that. But some clients seem to spend an inordinate amount of time doing something that other clients don't need to do. I've used some that seem to like continuously re-indexing a mail box. Why?
