F11: Skype and audio, again

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

Skype is driving me crazy under F11. Sometimes it works, other times not. At
the moment, sort of. Audio playback works, but I can't the mic working.

I've tried about all the combinations of Options/sound devices

According to the Pulse volume control, the mic is working; the sound level
jumps when I speak into it.

I've been looking at the earlier threads on Skype in this list. Someone
needed alsa-plugins-pulseaudio to get it to work. Already installed.

My box has a bog-standard audio device: Intel 82801G

In general, I've am having difficulty getting *reliable* audio under F11.
Suddenly audio stops with Flash. Or with Rhythmbox. My only recourse is to
reboot X. Yes, I've tried pulseuadio --start.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks.
