No.

This is wrong.  In order to use an LVM Logicial Volume, first a 
`vgscan` may be needed to make the Volume Groups known, and then the 
desired Logical Volumes must be Activated with `vgchange -ay`.  Only 
Available Logical Volumes can be mounted.
