  The bug seems to be that rc.sysinit cannot map the UUID in
/etc/cryptab back to the physical device (it uses blkid -t ).

  So, hand editing /etc/crypttab - replacing UUID=foo with /dev/sda6
  (in my case) seems to avoid the bug.

 Not sure what happened to the UUID being wrong. The UUID it is using is
the UUID reported by cryptsetup luksDump /dev/sda6 and not the UUID
returned by blkid /dev/sda6.

  This may help understand the problem - i don't know - but i Have a
workaround.
