Our server has installed old version fedora. (fc6)

Theseday fedora maybe doesn't provdie update for too old version.

What can I do for using yum for this OS?

Back up what you have now to a separate hard disk. Use g4u to re-image your hard drive to a second one.

Make up a flash drive containing all the configuration and other files you will need. For example save all your web server settings and all the documents in the web server document root.

Then perform a fresh install.

So I am suggesting the same thing that Bill did, I am just using different words.
