i am new to fedora.so please correct me if i have said something incorrect. After going through the thread, i noticed the version of fedora the op is running ,there are quite a bit of modules mentioned in /etc/modprobe.conf. But i have run fedora 10 and fedora 11 and in both cases the /etc/modprobe.conf file is empty. but my lan card and sound functions perfectly with the exception of removing pulseaudio.
