Re: Book Readers (E-Books) w.r.t. Fedora Interoperation

I have a 6" BeBook ebook reader. This is the closest to an Open standard supporting device. No proprietary formats or DRM locks, it supports most popular formats. It is a very simple device, I just connect it via USB to my Fedora notebook or make use of an SD card to copy files to BeBook. I now prefer downloading/buying ebooks online that cost much cheaper than paperbacks.

E-book e-ink technology is completely different from that of an LCD display, both should not be compared. If you can differentiate between reading from a monitor and printed matter, you will appreciate the use of this technology. Check my site for some intro- http://www.amar-padhi.com/ot_ebooks_trend.html.

Thanks!

Looking for user experiences with e-book readers.
Against maybe buying a 7" netbook for same purpose.

Trying to cut down on space use\Paper book purchases.
