You can use DHCP - the reason you turn off the DHCP server on the
D-link is so that it doesn't "fight" with the one on the Linksys.
Both the LAN and wireless connections to the D-link can get DHCP
leases from the Linksys router. I have a setup like this running at
my little brother's house.
