As you say the files in /etc need symlinking to /var/named/chroot/... but I don't know how this plays with selinux - maybe they are linked in a different way to previous versions? All I want is to have a standard bind-chroot setup and then make a small change to named.conf (in the chroot). On another machine I also want my own zone files for the local LAN. I know there was a discussion around November 2008 in devel-list concerning "unbound" but I don't know what the outcome was for the final set of changes, or whether this impacted on bind-chroot directly.
