Thanks Sam.  I see this comment by Joe:

a) because nobody should be using it

b) to find out if anybody was using it, and if so, why

So - are you using it?  if so... why?

cares how httpd is being used?  Are you the apache thought police?  Are
you serious?

Just provide the package as it is provided from the apache foundation
please. Let me decide how I want to use it.
