| From: Tim <ignored_mailbox@xxxxxxxxxxxx> | It strikes me that many laptops are designed very badly. They feet are | too small (you can buy bigger adhesive rubber feet from electronic | stores, so you can do a neat upgrade), and they put the vents on the | bottom instead of the side (making it nearly impossible to actually use | some on your lap). Hear, hear! [oops, wrong century] +1 I have a laptop that I balance on one leg. This way the vents are not obstructed. Yuck. Luckily it is a small one (Averatec AV1020, 10.6" screen). Another laptop doesn't *seem* to have vents on the bottom, but I'm not sure (ThinkPad X61t). The laptop coolers that they have for sale seem to prove that at least some laptops are defective by design. The Intel Atom processor seems a step in the right direction. Too bad that they haven't released an appropriately low-power support chipset for it. -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines
