I thought Windows XP was very picky about the hardware it's on, so, at least as far as I understand it, it will complain that hardware has changed when it's run in the VM (if it boots at all). I normally recommend separate system partitions for *real* Windows XP and *virtualized* Windows XP, but maybe my information is dated. Jonathan
