Do the two VG's have the same UUID? If not, you can use the UUID as
part of the vgrename command. From the vgrename man page:

"vgrename Zvlifi-Ep3t-e0Ng-U42h-o0ye-KHu1-nl7Ns4 VolGroup00_tmp"
