Just be advised that your experiences are not universal and try not to frame them as such. The following statement is not "graphics vendor centric".... It just seems to me that when a group of people experience a problem with "Z" they tend to dismiss or diminish the group of people that haven't experienced a problem with "Z". As one would expect, the people in pain are going to be the most vocal. The folks that don't have a problem with "Z" aren't going to guarantee a given individual won't have some problems....yet the folks that have had problems seem to want to guarantee you will have a problem. If everybody listened to somebody that told them not to buy something then nobody would buying anything.
