There are no more updates for Fedora 8, not even security updates. All Fedora users are expected to have already upgraded to Fedora 9 or 10. Installing Fedora 8 now is outright stupid. The only Fedora version which could be an option for you is Fedora 10. (Fedora 9 also has only about 4 months of updates left.) If you use Fedora, you have to upgrade at least once a year. If that's not an option for you, then Fedora is the wrong distribution for your deployment. Try CentOS.
