No, since you don't say what system you're using, or what desktop, or what burning software, or even the model of your LG unit, any of which might be relevant. Neither do you say what actually happens when you try to burn a DVD. An error message? A failed burn? Nothing? Does it matter if it's DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-R? I also have an LG (GSA-4163B), use KDE 4.2 under Fedora 10 and burn using both k3b and growisofs.
