VirtualBox launch problem

I installed KVM and Virt and won't connect.  I get an error msg:

"Unable to open connection to Xen Hypervisor/Daemon"
    - Verify Xen host kernel was booted
    - The Xen servic has been started

The details are:

Unable to open connection to hypervisor URI 'xen:///':
<class 'libvirt.libvirtError'> unable to connect to
'/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock': Connection refused
