Does it make a difference? > > Clodoaldo My Hauppauge TV Express card (bt878a, using the bttv driver) came with a short jumper cable to connect sound out from the tv card to line in on the soundcard, and the tv card has 2 1/8th jacks. One for line in, and the other for line out. I see that your cat /proc/asound/cards shows 3 cards including one for the sound on the tv card. Fedora 10 has pulseaudio installed as default , and alsamixer, opened as alsamixer only shows the pulseaudio volume control. On my audigy2 soundblaster card there is an audigy mix control that needs to be up for sounds from the tv card to work. That control will not be there for your hda-intel card, but there may be controls on the soundcard that need to be up to get sounds out of the tv card. Open alsamixer as below for card0. alsamixer -D hw:0 Pulseaudio is known to cause problems with some stuff, so if you want to temporarily remove it out of the equation, do a, yum remove alsa-plugins-pulseaudio. You can always re-enable it later, with yum install alsa-plugins-pulseaudio, and if you are using KDE, install kde-settings-pulseaudio. I did have problems with sound on my Hauppauge card, and had to set specific options to get the sound working, but that's a different tv card to yours. 2¢ worth of suggestions on a nice sunny afternoon in northern france.
