Not wanting to step on any of the other current threads, I'm starting a
new one specific to my issue.
F10, KDE 4.2 (just updated today), turned off krandrtray so it won't
load at startup on an Acer Aspire One with a 1024x600 screen which makes
it really hard to use Evolution. So I'm thinking that when using
non-tethered to my KVM and large external monitor, I would get a
1280x1024 screen (which I know it can do because the external monitor
can be set to same). Aspire One uses intel 945 video.
Created /etc/X11/xorg.conf (per another thread)...

but it still is only 1024x600 and I see no way to use the larger virtual
setup.

LVDS connected 1024x600+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

Am I missing something?
