Thanks g; I had tried to phrase my question in such a way as to indicate I was asking a deeper question than could be answered by 'man'. For example, I have /var/log/rpmpkgs-20090201, that contains more packages than my most recent update but not all. I have 5 dated rpmpkgs in all. How or what is 'yum list recent' giving me? In this context, what does recent mean? Or, does yum get its recent list elsewhere?
