wget http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/nfs-utils/1.1.2/10.fc9/x86_64/nfs-utils-1.1.2-10.fc9.x86_64.rpm
yum remove nfs-utils
rpm -Uvh  nfs-utils-1.1.2-10.fc9.x86_64.rpm  (( on both the server and
the clients ))

fixed my problem, fyi.
