I'd rather not speculate and one thing is certain...that the methodology
you are using to launch it leaves me clueless as to where vncserver
would log to and I would suggest that you figure out how to make it log,
or if it is logging, read through the logs for errors. The local xserver
(the machine you are working on) might also have some clues in the logs
and assuming that you are using the VNC Viewer application, it would
probably log in your ~/.vnc directory.
