I had the same problem with Fedora 10. The headphones didn't work after an update I did yesterday (Jan 6, 2009). I have currently alsa driver version 1.0.8. They were shipped from the start with Fedora 10, so that it seems that the drivers were not the problem. Then I tried to use the previous version of the kernel and now the headphones work again!! The previous version that works OK is: 2.6.27.7-134.fc10.x86_64 The version that doesn't work is: 2.6.27.9-159.fc10.x86_64 This thread in the forum helped my A LOT.
