Fedora 10 Live CD stuck at login window

Hi, I downloaded the live CD and checked the sha1 sum and verified the media. However at the login screen the keyboard becomes unresponsive. I can still move the mouse but clicking on anything doesn't do anything. Also in the login box the text "localhost" and the date are on top of each other. The computer is an old P4 machine which I think has onboard Intel graphics. I've tried removing "rhgb", adding "xdriver=vesa" with the same result. I tried just "linux text" but nothing happens.
I tested the CD on an AMD machine with an Nvidia card and it worked fine. Anything else I can try to get it working? Thanks!
