I've almost always used yum to upgrade to a new Fedora version by
installing the newer fedora-release package, whether that method is
approved or not; it works out okay eventually, though sometimes I have
to reconcile some config file conflicts. Given I'm still on F9 and
not a F10 beta or prerelease, I guess I should look into preupgrade?
It sounds like the safety of a disc-based upgrade without the hassle
and waste of burning a disc. How does that method alert you to config
file and other package conflicts, by the way? Do I need to look for
new .rpmnew files or something?

Thanks,
