	Then I won't telnet into the box. After all, I never have.

	Maybe. When this thing doesn't like a machine's setting, it says 
"out of range" for a dozen or two seconds -- and goes clear dead black, 
just as if the machine were shut clear down.

	If it does it again, I'll try Ctrl-Alt-F1; but I'll make a small 
wager it fails.
