ok. if system time syncing is supper critical, have you considered time
sync with a radio clock? again, check '/usr/share/doc/ntp*'. and you
can google for suppliers.

radio clocks sync to wwv, 'national bureau of standards time'. you can
also call a long distance phone number and sync that way.

do be aware that some of these are limited on their range as some are
not able to receive signals 'east of mississippi river' and are usually
noted as such. do ask for guarantee of reception.

if you wanted, and have watts service, or not, you could use 'pots' to
dial into a 'central server' and sync that way.
