	You can install 2.6.27 from rawhide, currently at 2.6.27-3, and it will
work (proviso below).  It will also pull in a new mkinitrd and a new
package, plymouth.  Trying to build it FOR F9 from the SRPM just
resulted in the same dependencies on mkinitrd and plymouth so it was not
worth the effort.

	There is, however, a potential for a couple of gotchas.  Several people
have reported failures to boot.  This seems to be due to two issues, one
involving ext4 (renamed from ext4dev) and the other involving a race
condition between lvm and certain scsi device drivers, most notably the
VMware emulated scsi devices.

	The later problem, which I've been involved in debugging, is in this
bugzilla report and thread:

	The bug impacts both F9 and F10 with the 2.6.27 kernels.
