One hopes that people show some community spirit and attempt to follow community norms, e.g. many people have mixed feelings about top-posting because it's used in other contexts. I get it, but this community prefers not to have top-posting so I would hope people would either go along with it as a courtesy to others or give some rational argument for changing the Guidelines.
