Did you try F9? I recall some older Fedoras' installers had been broken
on i586's (but I don't recall which Fedora this had been :) ).

Once it is installed, Fedora runs well on Intel P5s - At least on my old
Intel P5.

However, this doesn't mean much wrt. K6s.
