Hi

No. I mean have a colourful screen when I editing a Python script for example.

I just tried in a opensuse 10.2 machine and "syntax on" works. What made me think that is a Fedora specific issue.

Thanks

Marcelo

Hi

How to enable syntax highlighting in vim? I tried to put "syntax on" on /etc/vimrc and on my "~/.vimrc" and does not work. I have the following vim packages installed:
[root@newt set_new_machine]# yum list installed vim*
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Installed Packages
vim-common.i386 2:7.1.291-1.fc9 installed vim-enhanced.i386 2:7.1.291-1.fc9 installed vim-minimal.i386 2:7.1.291-1.fc9 installed
Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks

Marcelo
