tfr, poc. problem is in script handling. i went back and tried it with konq, and it did not like page. problem seems to be with java scripts. it was early in morning and i needed sleep more than i needed to post what i found. i just tried with konq again to get message of; "java script - konqueror a script on this page is causing khthml to freeze. if it continues to run, other applications may become less responsive. do you want to abort the script?
