What I do here, is I would search for that *.sty file. Found it here:
http://www.tug.org/texlive/devsrc/Master/texmf-dist/tex/latex/amsrefs/pcatcode.sty
Copy it to your working directory, ie., where you are compling your TeX files. Then it should work. There are other things that you can do, This is what I would do to make it easier for me.

okular takes its place. It opens up if you run KDE, if you run Gnome, evince will open dvi files. You can also get xdvi, if you need/want it.
