I must agree with Craig here but I'll modify it slightly. *IF* a
particular repo other than atrpms has a package you want, then install
the repo but make sure to go back into the repo file and set enabled=0
in it. When you need to install something from that repo explicitly
enable it with yum --enablerepo=livna (for example). The main downside
is you'll have to manually monitor the repo for updated but it's a lot
better than the alternative.

In your particular situation if you know you're going to replace the
package from livna with the one from atrpms then manually remove the
package with rpm -e --no-deps (or something like that). Probably not
the most elegant way to solve your problem but I've used it a couple
of times myself.

I only use atrpms on my dedicated FE/BE but I also use my personal
desktop as a FE and I have atrpms, freshrpms, & livna all installed
but I only have one of them enabled by default.
