It depends on how you installed fedora, if you used KDE Live, you get kdm,
otherwise, you generally get gdm.
I'd recommend giving kdm a whirl, create/edit
/etc/sysconfig/desktop
to contain:
DISPLAYMANAGER=KDE
-- Rex
/etc/sysconfig/desktop is DISPLAYMANAGER=KDE
