Is NVIDIA Quadro Auto detected by Fedora?

Hello!
          Can anyone tell me if he/she has experience installing *NVIDIA
Quadro FX1400 PCIE 128MB DDR 3D Graphics Card* in Fedora. Does Fedora
install it automatically or I would have to install further rpm?*

I had the exact same problem. A fresh X86_64 fedora 9 install on a 
Dell t3400 with Quadro NVS 290 card. 

I had to yum update the entire system before X would work. Frustrating.
