Fedora-9 minor issue #1

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Fedora-9 is running fairly well on my laptop -
I've had one oops when booting,
and KDE has frozen a few times.
But I like it on the whole.

I've a couple of minor problems.
Firstly, I don't seem able to install Google Toolbar
or Google Browser Sync on Firefox.
When I click on Install in either case
the .xpi file is downloaded,
with a message that it is a bin file,
but Firefox does not change (even after re-starting it).

Is there some further step one is meant to take,
or could take?

Also, there seem to be a large number of language add-ons
enabled in Firefox, eg for Arabic (I think it's Arabic).
Is one really meant to go through these,
disabling the 2 versions of Norwegian (why 2?), etc?
