ls -alF fails on one of my partitions

my /usr partition seems to have issues. When I do ls -alF I get a kernel error and it kills the ls process

[scott@novak usr]$ ls -alF

The partition is a reiserfs formatted partition.
I'm currently running kernel 2.6.24.4-64.fc8

In /var/log/messages I get

Anyone got any ideas? I have a new kernel installed but the machine's in a datacentre and so I don't want to reboot it into the new kernel if it's unlikely to come back...coz then I'd have to wander off and try and fix it
