Since the other postings in this thread seem to say you've loaded the compatible c++ libraries, I'd venture that you've probably got some sort of missing symlink and/or haven't run ldconfig. Instead of futzing with all that and since you're not compiling any fortran here, just linking, try: gcc -O4 -lstdc++ cwrapper.o toyprob.o algencanma.o algencan.o -o algencanma (you might need to add "-lfortran" or some such if your main program is in Fortran).
