My mother refuses to use anything but the most basic camera, and I picked up a CIF camera for £5. I installed the windows software on my dual-boot laptop, It was a dog. I succeeded in accidentally deleting all her pictures. I hated it, and was afraid that she'd never forgive me if I deleted something that she actually cared about. I tried it in linux, not expecting to succeed. Digikam found it, identified it, and works perfectly with it. Anne
