Yes, but it doesn't support them in portrait mode that I've been able
to find. I want to run my laptop with the internal screen at
1400x1050, and the 24" external display in portrait mode at 1050x1680...
I'd also like to be able to rotate these screens on the fly, but that
is less important.

I think the default "radeon" driver supports randr extension (which will
rotate everything for you)
I've tired it on my desktop, but only in mirror modes (for laughs,
mostly). Sadly, the speed is abysmal (seems it all happens in software).
But maybe it works fast in the non-mirror modes..
